The 9th NASSCOM-DSCI Annual Information Security Summit (AISS) held last December ended the year on a high note for Aujas. Aujas, a sponsor of the prestigious event, bagged the runner-up award for the ‘Most Innovative Product Idea of the Year’ for its Security Analytics and Visualization Platform (SAVP).

The award was part of ‘DSCI Innovation Box’, an initiative launched to recognize innovative product ideas that address real risks, build resilience, increase trustworthiness, and create a conducive environment for businesses. The award-winning security analytics platform from Aujas is an easy-to-manage visualization solution for different security products integrated on a single platform. It provides a high level of customization for visualization and workflow definitions.

“SAVP is flexible and adaptable and shows the client his State of Security,” said Mr. Srinivas Rao, CEO of Aujas. “It has a reasonable total cost of ownership, making it one-of-a-kind in the industry.”

The summit held on December 10 and 11 focussed on important security topics such as big data, critical sector malware, cyber insurance, digital forensic, industrialization of the internet, IPv6 and 4G. Over 500 participants from various industries and government bodies presented their views on business-critical issues such as changing threat scenarios, response to vectors, and modus operandi of attackers. There were stimulating sessions such as CIO roundtables and industry workshops on cybersecurity, combating cybercrime, cloud computing, and surviving data theft.

Mr. Pallab Talukdar, President and Ms. Mayurakshi Ray, Vice President were part of the panel discussions on “Industrialization of the Internet: Billion threat possibilities” and “Indian security market: where it stands?” “The sessions were very good and brought in-depth insight and hands-on expertise,” said Pallab, speaking at the event.

On the other hand, AISS also hosted the DSCI Excellence Awards for exemplary work in the field of privacy, security, and cybercrime investigation. Awardees were chosen from across 15 industry and two law enforcement categories. The winners included companies such as Kotak Mahindra, Aadhar, Bharti Airtel,Vodafone and Infosys. Kotak Mahindra bagged an award in the Corporate category, while Bharti Airtel was adjudged a leader in the Telecom category. UIDAI picked up an award in the eGov category.

DSCI is an independent self-regulatory organization set up by NASSCOM. It promotes data protection, develops security, privacy best practices, and standards, and encourages industries to implement the same. DSCI works with the Indian IT/BPO industry, their clients worldwide, the banking and telecom sectors, data protection authorities, and government agencies in various countries.
